Happy Monday! I'm off on PTO again today with not much planned and I have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's going to be a crazy week when I head back tomorrow though. I'm in the office Tuesday/Wednesday and then I fly out to Seattle for work Thursday and Friday. Not to mention I won't see my Project Manager until the 20th... that's like a year in designer world.

Saturday will be super busy with the Susan G. Komen race and planning my 10 year high school reunion (already?!) and then comes Sunday and before you know it, Monday morning again.

I'm going to try and not worry about the coming days, just take it one day at a time. We'll see how that goes.

So yesterday Chris and I had great plans to get so much accomplished - grocery shopping, cleaning, date night and blog photos... but then came Gone Girl. I started reading this book last week but didn't have time to actually dive into it. Well, I did yesterday and that's literally what I did - All. Day. Long.

Can I just say, I am pissed on how it ended. I mean, for real?! All of that suspense the entire dang book and you're just gonna end it like that?! I was SO mad. So mad, that I told Chris we were going to see the movie so he could feel my pain... and that's exactly what we did. On our way, we stopped for some blog photos... a casual date night out.

Striped Shirt: H&M (old), similar HERE
Flannel: Tilly's
Shoes: Urban Outfitters (brown sold out - available in black)
Necklace: JewelMint (old)

If you're wondering, the movie follows the book pretty well, but I'm a lover of books, and the book was better. The book is always better.

I guess we didn't do too bad. We got two things marked off our list. Now for cleaning and grocery shopping...

So tell me, did you read Gone Girl? If so, how did you feel about it?

Oh, and are you obsessing over flannel and these moccasins for Fall like I am?

  2. The book IS better, but I felt the movie was pretty awesome, too. I think reading the book and having the background knowledge of it makes the movie better, though!

    1. I completely agree! I kept asking Chris what he thought about it because he didn't read the book. He liked it as well, just kept saying "This is creepy". But the whole time I just wanted to fill him in on the background I learned from the book!
