I debated with writing today's blog post. Sometimes I'm not sure if getting a little "deep" on here is really what I want or if even sharing only an outfit post is keeping my blog too close to the surface and not letting people see the real-life me.

In one way I want to share my entire life with my readers because I know there are others out there waiting to hear and share some of the same stories with each other and then another part of me wants to keep it all locked up inside, afraid of judgement that might appear.

In the end, I created my blog for myself, as a creative outlet for me to share with my readers what I'm wanting to say at that particular moment.

Most days it's an outfit post, others days it's a bit of rambling and today it's a little bit of both.

I would have to say that this past weekend will be one that I will never forget. Most times you have those days/weekends when you're laughing, hanging with friends and family and enjoying every second of every day. Other times it's because your world stops, literally, when you receive news that you hear about all of the time, but never expect it to affect your life.

It's difficult to process life - the decisions that we have to make, the questions that we have, the answers we receive, it's difficult. I've struggled with my thoughts (and words) this entire weekend. The best way for me to process the situation is by putting my words on paper (or in this case, on a computer). I hope that if anything, you can take a small piece of my real self from this blog post. I think it's only fair to share my happy and not so happy days with the people that dedicate their time to following and reading my blog.

In everything, have an incredible Monday! It's almost time for Thanksgiving... and there's a ton I'm thankful for!

Until next time...

  2. I love hearing about your real self, I think it helps us connect, and in the end, makes us feel better about our lives. I do my best when writing everything out, and then editing it, it is how I tend to process my life and everything in it.
