Hey! Today I wanted to share a look that could easily transition into business casual work attire.

I work for a pretty laid back company so it's jeans all day everyday with the occasional yoga-wear. I love being able to dress down for work, but it also makes it more difficult to get into those dress pants on the days where it's necessary.

It's also hard for me to share business looks on here - well, because I hardly wear them. After I put this look together and actually wore it to work I thought... this would actually be cute and appropriate for a dressier company as well.

An easy way to transition this is to swap out the denim for a pair of black slacks. For me and my style, I'd opt for a pair of black skinny slacks and either the shoes I have on here or even a pair of cute booties or wedges.

The top is a great transition piece because you can wear it with shorts, jeans, dress pants, a skirt - anything. And you can definitely layer it with a cute jacket and scarf in the cooler months. I got it at Milk and Honey a while back - I've also linked some other great transition tops above.

Another way to wear this is with a pair of sassy pumps and a cute clutch for a night out. So many options!

How do you transition weekend wear into business casual?

Thanks so much for reading, friends!

  1. That top is fun! I love the print! I'm like you…I don't dress up in work attire so pretty much all of my outfits are casual. But I love how with just the swap of jeans to slacks, this outfit is totally work appropriate!
