Hey girls! Hopefully today's title didn't scare you away. There's a lot going on in today's look and I couldn't come up with a snazzy name for it. Although there is a lot going on in this look, it's still laid back and casual and definitely easy to pull off.

So let's jump right in. I guess I should start this post by sharing a crazy story with you. As you probably noticed, there were not any amazing photos from Lake Tahoe and my trip to Reno on Friday. Wanna know why?! I actually didn't make it to Reno. As much as I wish I had a funny story to share, I don't. Well, it's probably funny for you, but I was not laughing at the time. I'm still not laughing. Maybe by next week.

Let's get started, shall we? So, I woke up Wednesday morning feeling fine. Jumped right out of bed, got ready, feeling confident for my site visit (which isn't always the case) and headed to the airport. Well, let's back up a few steps. I ate (2) cinnamon rolls right before walking out the door. Cool. I'm fine, let's do this. Well, not so much. I promise you it wasn't even 10 minutes into my car ride that I got hot, nauseous and just started feeling miserable (and no, I'm not pregnant). If you know me at all, you know that it doesn't take much for me to feel sick to my stomach (and I hate that).

Anyway, so I'm obviously not going to go into all the details because we'd be here all day, but again, if you know me at all, I'm super stubborn and just thought I can make it work. It's no big deal. I'll get on the plane and be fine by the time I arrive. ha! Well, I made it, through the security line that is... and right to the restroom. Yep, I'm that girl. Sicker than a dog in the AIRPORT restroom. Needless to say, many tears and text messages later, my coworker told me to GO HOME and not worry about the trip. Do you know how hard that was for me?! I hate letting people down. And I hate not having control. Not fun. But, what I can say is that my team was super supportive and covered my butt... thank goodness. Long story short, I missed out on my trip to Reno and slept most of the day. My sickness finally went away in full by Friday and I feel like a new person. Phew. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.

It was a crazy week for me, or at least a couple of days, so I thought I would share. Sometimes I like to provide a glimpse into my life for all of those who think bloggers who post photos of their outfits have this perfect little life. Ha, not for me! :) Plus, I hope it provides some entertainment for your day, even though it probably scarred me for life. haha.

So, as far as the outfit for today, I'll keep it short and sweet since this post is getting pretty long. I was feeling better on Friday so Chris and I decided to skip cleaning our loft and turning in the keys (oops) and went to dinner instead. Rebels! I figured, if I am freshening up for dinner, I might as well take some blog photos right?! Killing two birds with one stone. That's how we roll.

It's a casual look for sure, but what's better than being casual on a quick date night with the hubs? I especially wanted to take photos of my new purse. I love all of the colors and the gold chain detail. A friend from work told a couple of us that Neimans Last Call was having an additional 30% off of their bags... could we pass that up?! Heck no. And we needed some retail therapy after a long week at work. Traci and I started the weekend off right and each snagged a cute cross-body. Whoop! Thanks Kylie for sharing the sale. Not sure if it's still going on, but you should check it out... online or in store.

Okay, let's wrap this up. Photos below. Hope you like! As always, I love that I am gaining new followers and that people enjoy my posts... thank you so much for reading and following along! I'd be blabbing to myself if I didn't have you guys to talk to. :)
