Hey y'all! I'm back. Well, I didn't really go anywhere, I just haven't posted an outfit post in a little bit. It's been on my mind lately how much of a slacker I've been, so here I am. :)

My last post was about how much I'm wishing Fall would hurry up and what I'm already craving for those cooler months. Today, I'm back in Summer mode.

I've had this coral chiffon maxi dress in my closet for literally 2 years and have never worn it... until now. I always felt like it needed a something more but never knew exactly what that was. Well, I found this super cute turquoise statement necklace on sale at The Oxford Trunk (for $5) and had an ah-ha moment when it came in. I have to say, I'm happy with the outcome.

I love how the two colors compliment each other and I think the necklace was the exact missing piece for this dress. Now, more about the dress, check out the back! Such a cute surprise.

Dress: Marshalls (Old)
Necklace: The Oxford Trunk (sold out :( BUT they have turquoise bubbles on sale now!)
Gold ring: Urban Outfitters (also cute HERE)
Clutch: Michael Kors (last year's style)

I've already been thinking of ways I want to transition this dress into Fall too. That's the great thing about long dresses. You can throw a tee and/or vest over it to create an entirely different look... in an entirely different season.

Do you also try to transition Summer pieces into Fall? What's your favorite way to transition into a different season?

Until next time.

    1. Thanks Kaytie! I know right... after I actually wore it, I can't believe it set there for so long! Don't get me wrong I pulled it out multiple times... just wasn't sold on the overall look. Glad to see I've broken the spell and can now wear it more!
