Casual cold day outfit

Yesterday Dallas had another "official" snow day. Can you believe it? I mean, we still went to work (this time) but I legit woke up with a white yard. For real. It was crazy and oh - so pretty! But, the excitement only lasted for a couple of hours and then the sun came out and it turned into a slushy mess.

I did talk Chris into snapping a few pics before I left for work. It rarely happens and must be documented. I'll go ahead and put it out there, I'm an amateur. The shoes I had on were not made for the snow, but in my defense my leather Steve Madden Troopa's completely bailed on me 5 minutes prior.

Seriously, I was all bundled up and comfy when I go to zip up my boots and the zipper just kept on going... all the way across the bedroom floor. What the hell? I paid good money for those boots! Sad day.

Hopefully I can get them fixed, but at this point, I'm just ready for Spring - so it'll have to wait until next year.

On another note. Kudos to all you ladies who constantly take your photos in the snow. It's difficult. The snow is crazy bright which in turn messes with the camera. It's cold and wet and well, ain't nobody got time for 'dat.

My outfit was definitely a good one for a snow day though (minus the functionality of the shoes). You can't go wrong with a t shirt dress, leggings, beanie and over-sized cardigan. I think I've lived in over-sized cardigans this year.

It will be easy to transition the t-shirt dress into Spring as well. Pair it with a cute pair of wedges or converse, colorful jewelry and a denim jacket and you're all set.

Happy Friday ladies!
