Hey, y'all! I mentioned a few weeks ago on Instagram that I was sent this new foundation and brush and would review it on the blog.

As you know, I'm not a beauty blogger, far from it. But, I do love makeup. I love trying new products and especially watching videos on YouTube. Insert Jaclyn Hill - by far my favorite beauty gal (and gal because I don't know the correct terminology)! Because of Jaclyn I now know how to fill in my brows... hallelujah. Now that's something to celebrate! #firstworldproblems

Anyway, so I tried the new foundation and brush recently and now I'm gonna share my thoughts. It hurts my soul a little bit that I don't love, love, love everything that I tried, but I gotta keep it real.

I'll start with the positives first. Number one, the packaging is kinda awesome. It's this pretty brown/bronze color and that was enough to get me excited about it. The foundation is in stick form, which I don't mind and the brush is smaller scale, which is a double bonus in my book.

The color worked great for me - I have the Porcelain. I applied it with just one stripe across each cheek, one of the forehead and a small one down my nose. That was more than enough to cover my face. And I'm all about that full coverage.

Immediately when I was applying the foundation I was ecstatic. It went on so smoothly and honestly, looked airbrushed on. It's by far the best foundation that I've ever applied! It also went on matte, which is great for us oily girls. Because the foundation went on so well, I had no hesitation for wearing it all day.

And all day I wore it. I had blog photos that afternoon and was planning to just freshen up, as needed for the shoot. Well, it didn't stay on as long as I was hoping. Correction, not all of it stayed in place the way I was hoping. In my t-zone (my oily areas), the foundation wore off. I tried to powder my nose and those shiny areas when I noticed I was becoming oily, but the foundation did not like that. OR, it could have also been my powder. Not sure. Either way, I wasn't able to just freshen up real quick for photos.

That's my only negative comment about the foundation. If you don't have oily skin, I think it would work perfectly for you! It could have also been that I got the foundation for combination skin. Maybe the one for oily skin would have stayed in place longer? Not sure.

BUT, let's talk about the brush. The brush I absolutely love and would recommend 1000 times. The size of it is so great! It's large enough to cover your face quickly, but small enough to get around your nose and eyes easily. It's soft and applies the foundation flawlessly. Again, can't say enough good things about the brush. If you're in the market for a new one, give this one a try!

I'd love to hear your feedback if you purchase the foundation and/or the brush. I plan on trying the foundation again - you never know, my skin could have been having an off day. Either way, I love trying new products and sharing my thoughts with you guys.

Thanks for reading! Until next time.
