Happy Monday! I can't believe it's already the start of a new week. Time flies these days. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or maybe because I don't typically know what day it even is (#twins), but time is going so fast. Do y'all feel that way too?

Anyway, I'm excited to share today's look because I have noticed this trend on the up and up for a while now. I love it because it is one of those trends that can work in many age groups, not like... ahem... crop tops.

Any guess on what I'm talking about? Tie front tops, of course! I have seen them on basic tees as well as blouses, similar to the one I'm wearing, and I like both of them. It adds a fun twist, and gives the hem of your shirt a slimmer fit in most cases.

For this top specifically, it has more of a boyfriend/loose fitting arm, and the tie front balances that by creating a tighter fit around the waist. Don't let that confuse you though, it's definitely not tight... still loose, but helps add some definition to the top so that it's not too boxy. Make sense, or clear as mud?

I guess what I'm trying to say is - grab a tie front top and give it a try! I found this one from Target that is similar to mine with great reviews. I saw it in store as well and highly recommend! Another cute one I found, but a bit more pricey; this white tie front from Madewell. Like I said, more expensive but the quality goes hand in hand with that one. No complaints on Madewell; always pieces you end up keeping forever.

The shirt I am wearing came in one of my Stitch Fix boxes, so I wasn't able to find the direct link. Speaking of, do you guys use Stitch Fix? I've had it since the babies were born and have had a 50/50 success rate. Sometimes I love my boxes, sometimes not so much. Curious what your experience has been like. Comment below or on my latest Instagram letting me know.

Something else I wanted to share from today's look. My fun statement earrings. These are from twelve TEN; lot of new arrivals recently - check them out here! As soon as we got these in I knew I needed a pair. The different shades of pink and coral won me over. I'm usually not a pink gal, but I just couldn't pass these up. Easy to throw on and dress up any look, and also always great paired with a basic white or black tee. Y'all know that's my jam.

So, of all the current trends - statement sleeves, flutter sleeves, tie fronts - which is your favorite?
Until next time.

  1. I do love the tie front tops! I think they're so cute and can work well with denim or a skirt.
