Happy Wednesday y'all. Today's look is a bit different than what I typically wear. I'm pretty much a jeans and top kinda girl; heels on a date night and flats otherwise. I may throw in a different outfit here and there, but I don't wear dresses a ton. I always want to, but when I'm standing at the closet trying to make a decision the jeans always win.

Anyway, so today I'm wearing a dress but decided to put this cute new shirt over the top of it. It's actually the dress I wore for my rehearsal dinner (random thought). And I saw this shirt while scrolling through Instagram. I instantly loved the camo sleeves, the coral neck detail and of course the gold state of Texas. Uh, yes please! I was so excited when I finally got it in the mail.

I am going to be honest though, I was a little disappointed once I opened the package. When I ordered the shirt, I only saw a photo of the front, loved it and decided to take the plunge. What I didn't know (until it arrived) was that on the back is a huge statement for the company. Now don't get me wrong, I still completely adore this shirt and will definitely purchase from the shop again, however, now I feel like I can only wear the shirt while lounging around or at the lake or something like that. I almost wish the shops logo was on the front, maybe right under the state in smaller letters or something. No biggie, it's super cute, but just wanted to mention it just in case anyone else was thinking of purchasing one. You should definitely check out her shop though because she has a ton of other cute items!

Shirt: Smokin' Hot Studio - Facebook and Instagram
Dress: Nordstrom (old)

I'll stop blabbing and actually share the outfit details. Let me know what you think of the top. Would you were it out even though it has the text on the back? I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks so much for reading!

  1. Its almost as if you're calling yourself smokin' hot! Which is cute & funny. Although I'm not sure if I would wear it a ton with the logo on the back!

  2. I love this tee! I might wear a blazer over it, but then it would hide the sleeves... In any case, I love it on you :)

    1. Thank you! I actually wore it to work the other day with a vest over it and liked it much better. :)
