Top: Save, Splurge Skirt: Voodoo Vixen, Shoes: Similar, Lip Pencil: Mirenesse

Happy Monday - post Christmas! The holidays were incredible per usual and I'm sad to see Christmas go.

I knew it would be that way this year. It really snuck up on me and then I was rushing around right up until Christmas day, so I didn't spend a lot of time just taking it all in. Now I'm a little sad that it's come and gone so fast. I'm grateful for the time spent with my family, each house we visited was special in it's own way. The older I get the more I appreciate the special times with friends and family, which brings me to my next point.

Unfortunately Texas experienced quite the weather and devastations the day after Christmas. It went from being a calm day to tornado warnings, high winds and a ton of rain. There were many areas hit by tornados; lives instantly affected. I'm praying for all of the families who lost their homes, loved ones and pets. If you would, say a little prayer for us (Texas). And hug your loved ones extra tight.

Now a little about today's look. I got this skirt from Voodoo Vixen and really, really like it. The length is great and the fit is tight (and stretchy). I'm a sucker for anything gold so the zipper was an instant win for me. Do we even need to talk about the pleated flair at the bottom?! I was so surprised to see that when I tried this on. It's instantly takes it from a typical pencil skirt to a show-stopper piece.

I don't have to dress up for work but if I did, this is what I would dress like. At least I like to tell myself that. I also think this look is great for holiday parties. I know, it's a little late for that... but never to early to start planning for next year's parties!

Voodoo Vixen has a ton of cute and quirky pieces. I've also styled a fun dress from them - here. Both pieces I've gotten are great quality and worth the price... and apparently look great with leopard pumps and red lips! They were nice enough to offer my peeps 20% off, just use code: Steph20. Holla!

Anyway, the other pieces I'm wearing are old but I've linked similar options above.

I'm kinda loving a red lip right now too. Anyone else? Any tips and tricks to getting it to stay put all day? That's the only issue I had with it. I was left with lip liner and color in creases by the end of the night... not so cute!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is preparing for NYE! It's almost 2016, y'all. Eek!

Thanks for reading.
