Happy Monday friends! Last week I only posted once... sorry about that! The previous weekend was crazy, you know - the whole dining room table thing. If you missed our journey, you can read all about it here. So, we were unable to take as many photos as we wanted. Instead, I figured I would do some after work one day - no biggie.
Ha! Do plans ever work out?
Long story short, my work trip was extended and instead of being at work on Thursday around lunch I was field verifying another site. I didn't land until late that night so no photos. It all worked out, but the blog suffered a bit. #thestruggleisreal
Anyway, on to this week/weekend. Chris and I decided we needed a date night. A real date night, not a trip to a home improvement store. Don't let me fool ya though, we definitely did hit up Home Depot after our dinner date. It's incredible how many times you need to go there once you buy a house.
It was still a busy Saturday, not near as lazy as I was hoping for. Can you guess what that means for my outfit? Casual. And chic.
I can't remember the last time I wore heels. It's kind of sad.
But these jeans and these flats have been on major repeat. I had no idea how much I would wear nude flats. I highly recommend a pair if you don't have any. They go with everything. The ones I'm wearing are from H&M; originally purchased for work trips, so I kept it more on the inexpensive side. You never know what you're walking into... for real. I also linked some other cute options above.
And since I'm over Summer (hence the black jeans) I also decided to toss the bright pink lip and go for burgundy. Can't wait for more burgundy and purple lips, booties and wool hats! Eek. Counting down the days.
Keep an eye out later this week, I'll be sharing some of my favorite pieces for Fall.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Let's make it a great Monday!
