February.
I can't believe it has been almost a year since one of the hardest days I have yet experienced. Last year at this time I was hoping, wishing and praying that February would be the month that Chris and I finally got pregnant.
As I shared previously in this post, the end of my journey with infertility was quite the whirlwind. I went to the doctor for my regularly scheduled trigger shot, only to find out my body had failed me (or so I thought); completely lost myself, and then found out a few weeks later that during that time I was already carrying a baby (or two!).
I still cannot wrap my mind around it all. It was the craziest, yet most beautiful moment (looking back - not at the time) I have ever experienced. Just when you've lost all faith, He gives you exactly what you need.
Today, I am sitting in the living room while Knox swings in his mamaroo and Liam smiles and plays with his light up elephant. I can't believe this is my life.
I thought, as we're approaching one year since our lives changed forever, that I would finally share our maternity photos. As you know, the middle to end of my pregnancy was spent on bedrest in the hospital. So, my baby shower along with my maternity photos were cancelled, and rescheduled to take place at the hospital. Definitely not what I had planned for, but perfect none the less.
My photographer - Sara from Mama Love was up for the challenge and agreed to take my photos in the Prayer Garden at Baylor Hospital. She's incredibly talented and I knew that she would know exactly how to pull this off. And she did! My photos are perfect, and gorgeous, and everything I could have ever asked for. At the end of the day, my biggest wish was to actually have the opportunity to document my pregnancy and that big ole belly. I will cherish these forever!
There were so many to scroll through, but here are some of my absolute favorites.
